What to Expect
What You Can Expect From Your Visit To Murphy-Watson-Burr Eye Center
Payment For All Services Provided Is Due At The Time Services Are Rendered. Murphy-Watson-Burr Eye Center Will Submit Medical Claims To Your Insurance Carrier If We Are Contracted To Do So. Any Fees Not Paid By The Insurance Carrier Including Co-Pays, Deductibles And Refraction Fee Are All Patient Responsibility. For Your Convenience, We Do Accept All Major Credit Cards.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment so that we can make copies of your insurance cards and verify correct mailing and billing information.
New patient medical visits include dilating the pupils so that a thorough examination of the retina can be done. Most people feel comfortable driving themselves home after this, but vision will be blurred for a couple of hours. DO NOT DRIVE AFTER DILATION IF YOU FEEL THAT YOUR VISION IS IMPAIRED. You may want to arrange for someone else to drive you home. We recommend the use of sunglasses after dilation. Please bring your sunglasses along or ask for a complimentary disposable pair at our check out desk.
