R. Alan Watson, MD (Retired)

After more than 35 years of caring for patients in St. Joseph and the surrounding communities, Dr. R. Alan Watson has retired from the active practice of ophthalmology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Watson was known for his compassionate approach, clinical excellence, and deep commitment to the people he served. He earned the trust of generations of families and played a foundational role in shaping the values and standards of care at Murphy Watson Burr Eye Center.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Watson for his decades of service and leadership, and a heartfelt thank you to his patients for the trust they placed in him over the years. While he has retired from clinical practice, his legacy continues through our physicians, staff, and ongoing commitment to exceptional eye care.
